Privacy Policy

Escuchar is published by Intrusive Memory Productions. This policy explains what information is collected when you use the Escuchar app and the escuchar.app website, and how that information is handled.

No Accounts, No Analytics

Escuchar has no accounts and no sign-in, and it contains no third-party analytics, advertising identifiers, or tracking code. Intrusive Memory Productions does not collect, store, or analyze what you listen to, how far you got, or how you use the app.

Network Connections

Escuchar is an audio player that streams. To show you a library and play it, the app makes these connections, all over HTTPS:

  • The playlist, audio, transcripts, and artwork are fetched from the source the playlist is published on. For the playlist built into the app, that is a content delivery network used by Intrusive Memory Productions (cdn.intrusive-memory.productions, served through Cloudflare). Like any web server, the CDN receives standard request information: your IP address, the file requested, the time, and your device’s network user agent. Escuchar adds no identifiers, cookies, or account information to these requests. The CDN provider’s handling of that information is governed by Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
  • Nothing is ever uploaded. Escuchar only reads from a source. It never uploads, edits, renames, or deletes anything, and has no way to.

Tracks that are already cached play with no network connection at all.

Data Stored on Your Device

Escuchar keeps the following on your device only, and none of it is sent anywhere:

  • Cached copies of the audio, transcripts, and artwork you’ve played, so you can listen offline and nothing is downloaded twice. Items you choose to keep offline are excluded from device backups.
  • Your playback position, playback speed, and settings.
  • A running count of the bytes downloaded, shown in Settings.

Crash Reporting and Diagnostics

Escuchar participates in standard Apple platform crash-reporting programs:

  • TestFlight (pre-release): Crash logs and basic device diagnostics are shared with Intrusive Memory Productions via Apple’s TestFlight service according to Apple’s TestFlight privacy terms.
  • App Store (release): If you have opted in to share analytics with app developers in your iOS or macOS settings, Apple may provide anonymized crash reports and performance metrics. You can review and change this setting in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements on your device.

Crash reports do not contain your listening history.

Website Analytics

The escuchar.app website is a static site hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub may log standard web server access logs (IP address, browser type, referring URL, page visited, timestamp) in accordance with GitHub’s privacy statement. Intrusive Memory Productions does not embed analytics scripts, advertising trackers, or third-party pixels on escuchar.app.

Data Retention and Deletion

Intrusive Memory Productions holds no personal data from the app, so there is nothing to delete from our servers. To remove everything Escuchar stores on your device, clear the cache in Settings or uninstall the app.

Children’s Privacy

Escuchar is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone — including children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, contact support@escuchar.app and we will take steps to delete it.

Changes to This Policy

Intrusive Memory Productions may update this privacy policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app or website after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
